Adelaide Fringe 2026 Show Reviews

LASSU | TICKETS

This Cosmic Cabaret is a fresh, fun night out that blends circus, singing and dancing into a playful, risqué spectacle. The acts are light but impressive, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and enough edge to keep things exciting. A great way to kick off your night in Adelaide’s West End during Adelaide Fringe.

…EARNEST? | TICKETS

This playful twist on Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest is far more fun and unpredictable than you might expect. With audience members pulled onstage to replace missing cast, the show leans into chaos in the best way — and the result is genuinely laugh-out-loud. What really makes it work is how effortlessly the official cast keeps things moving, no matter what’s thrown their way. A hilarious, high-energy Fringe pick that keeps you guessing right until the end.

ELIXIR REVIVED | Tickets

Elixir Revived leans hard into cheeky humour and physical comedy, blending circus acts with a post-apocalyptic lab storyline. The theming is playful and ambitious, with the cast’s full commitment to the chaos keeping the energy high throughout. With a strong focus on cheeky gags and laddish humour, Elixir will land best for audiences who enjoy light, irreverent comedy paired with circus elements. If you’re in the mood for silly fun, this could be the show for you.

CVNT | Tickets

CVNT is bold, unhinged and wildly entertaining. Falling somewhere between comedy, group therapy and something unexpectedly educational, this one-woman show thrives on high (and fully consensual) audience participation. It’s chaotic in the best way — sharp, laugh-out-loud funny, and strangely empowering. You’ll leave feeling energised, slightly shaken, and delightfully liberated.

Bubble Show for Adults Only | Tickets

Bubble Show for Adults Only is exactly what it promises — playful, ridiculous, surprisingly impressive, and definitely not for kids. Across a series of imaginative vignettes, bubbles become genuinely mesmerising, blending high-level skill with cheeky humour and plenty of chaos.

The show has the whole room grinning like kids again, with the duo’s energy keeping things moving even when the bubbles refuse to behave. Equal parts performance, silliness and spectacle, this final season marks a last chance to catch one of the Fringe’s most uniquely fun and joyfully chaotic experiences.

KOWAW | Eagle | Tickets

Kowaw | Eagle is a quietly powerful contemporary dance duet that invites you to slow down and really watch. Rooted in Szu Shih-Min’s Saisiyat cultural memory and Yu Hsin-Hsüan’s vision of the mythical Great Roc, the work unfolds through precise, deeply considered movement rather than spectacle. Through close physical exchange, shifting weight and moments of tension and release, the dancers explore themes of migration, rupture and renewal with striking clarity. Intimate, meditative and absorbing, it is a beautiful reminder of how much can be communicated through the body alone.

CATHEDRAL CHIAROSCURO | Tickets

Cathedral Chiaroscuro transforms St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral into a softly illuminated experience where light, colour and sound move across the building’s grand architecture. The projections are beautiful to watch as they flow across the arches and ceiling, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere inside the historic space. While the experience is quiet and meditative rather than high-energy, it’s a lovely way to pause during a busy Fringe night and appreciate the cathedral from a completely different perspective.

DRUNK & DELICIOUS | Tickets

Drunk & Delicious is a relaxed, crowd-driven comedy show that leans heavily on quick wit and spontaneous audience interaction. Yorkshire comedian Cal Dibbert keeps things light and unpredictable, weaving stories from his travels with plenty of playful crowd work along the way. It’s the kind of Fringe show where you can simply sit back, enjoy the chaos, and laugh along as the night unfolds. Easygoing, silly and good fun, it makes for a relaxed comedy show.

THIS IS YOUR TRIAL! | TICKETS

This Is Your Trial! turns the courtroom into a playful improv playground, where audience members bring forward their “charges” and comedians argue the case on the spot. The result is lighthearted, fast-moving comedy with plenty of unexpected moments as the performers build jokes from whatever the crowd throws their way. Even with audience participation at the centre of the show, it never feels too confronting, making it an easy and entertaining Fringe pick whether you’re keen to get involved or just sit back and enjoy the chaos.

RED DISTRICT: UNLEASHED | Tickets

Red District: Unleashed is a high-energy showcase built around bold, sensual dance, with aerial elements woven throughout the performance. The show is unapologetically sexy, with confident choreography, playful humour and plenty of attitude keeping the crowd engaged from start to finish. A great Fringe pick for audiences looking for something cheeky, playful and a little bit naughty.

BURLESQUE WITH EVANA DE LUNE | Tickets

Burlesque with Evana De Lune is a glamorous celebration of classic tease, showgirl spectacle and playful seduction. Evana De Lune leads a dazzling cast of performers who each bring their own style and flair to the stage, blending elegance, humour and confident stage presence throughout the night. With bold costumes, slick choreography and plenty of personality, the show captures the fun and fantasy at the heart of burlesque. It’s a polished and entertaining Fringe pick for anyone curious about the art of tease or simply looking for a fun and flirty night out.

JAMES BARR: SORRY I HURT YOUR SON (SAID MY EX TO MY MUM) | Tickets

James Barr: Sorry I Hurt Your Son (Said My Ex To My Mum) is a brave and deeply personal stand-up hour that tackles a heavy subject with surprising humour. Barr blends sharp wit with honest storytelling, creating a show that moves between confronting and genuinely funny without ever losing its heart. It’s an important, necessary piece of work that feels both vulnerable and empowering, offering moments of laughter alongside a story that stays with you long after the show ends.
